The drum corps of The House of Edgar Shotts & Dykehead Pipe Band won a tenth Scottish title under the leadership of Jim Kilpatrick MBE at the Scottish Pipe Band Championships held in Dumbarton, Scotland on Saturday 22 May, 2010. Jim débuted tuned dual bass drums to his drum corps' mid-section for the performance, which was warmly received by the audience and adjudicators alike. Jim Kilpatrick Visits Pearl's Nashville HQ
Jim Kilpatrick MBE recently stopped by the headquarters of Pearl Music Worldwide in Nashville, Tennessee as part of his spring tour of the United States of America. Jim took the opportunity to tour the home of the world famous Pearl drum company and meet up with the company's CEO, Gene Okamoto. While being shown around the extensive facilities within Pearl, Jim was invited into their purpose built recording studio to shoot some demonstration footage on the Pearl FFXPB pipe band snare drum, which you can check out on the Pearl Drum Corporation YouTube channel. |
